Ryan Cole is the former Global Head of AI at Everest, a global specialty insurer and reinsurer, where he operates at the intersection of enterprise AI strategy, operational delivery, and frontline underwriting experience.
At Everest, he built the firm’s AI roadmap from the ground up, leading a multidisciplinary team deploying AI across underwriting workflows, submission triage, claims handling, and expense ratio optimization. He also leads enterprise innovation, overseeing Everest’s strategic investments in venture funds and insurtech partnerships.
Earlier in his career, Ryan underwrote public company D&O at Liberty Mutual, giving him direct insight into underwriter decision-making and a practical perspective on where AI meaningfully improves outcomes.
Ryan holds a BA in Economics and Psychology from Amherst College and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
