Joe Tolen is a Senior Investment Director at Cambridge Associates.
Joe joined the Credit Investment Group in 2022 and has more than 11 years of investment experience. He is responsible for
liquid and alternative credit strategies in the UK, Europe, and Asia. He also has a particular focus in insurance linked securities
and litigation finance.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Joe was the Director of Multi-Asset Strategies for the Indiana Public Retirement System
(“INPRS”) for four years. In his role, he was responsible for the formulation and implementation of the absolute return and risk
parity portfolios. Within absolute return, Joe focused on allocations to insurance-linked, fixed income relative value, global
macro, event-driven, structured credit, CTA, multi-strategy, co-investments, and fund-of-fund strategies. Previously, Joe
worked on the equity derivatives sales trading desk for Morgan Stanley in London.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Indiana University. He is a CAIA® charterholder
