Stuart Burchell leads the international team for Ryan Specialty Renewables as President. Prior to taking this position, Stuart was Head of PERse International, one of the predecessor firms of Ryan Specialty Renewables, since January 2024.
Stuart has been involved in renewable energy insurance since 2002, spending 10 years leading the underwriting team at GCube Underwriting as both an MGA business and an insurance company underwriting division at Tokio Marine HCC. This role at Tokio Marine entailed developing, managing and motivating an underwriting team of 20+ people, based in 5 different offices around the world whilst delivering underwriting profits in an increasingly challenging and competitive sector for insurers.
Aside from Renewables Insurance, Stuart’s interests include surfing, Brighton and Hove Albion and pork scratchings.
