Bim Afolami currently serves as Head of Strategy and
Execution at Acrisure. In this role, Bim leads the
development and execution of strategic initiatives across
the organization, drawing on his extensive experience in
finance, law, and government.
Prior to joining Acrisure, Bim served as Economic
Secretary to the Treasury and City Minister in the UK
government, and was elected as Member of Parliament
for Hitchin and Harpenden from 2017 to 2024. Before his
public service, Bim worked as a corporate lawyer at
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Simpson Thacher &
Bartlett, and held senior executive roles at HSBC.
Bim is also a non-executive director of HSBC UK plc and
a trustee of several charities. He received his education at
Eton College and Oxford University.
