David Govrin is SiriusPoint’s Group President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Reinsurance. He held the role of Group President and Chief Underwriting Officer until January 2025.

David brings 35 years’ experience to the SiriusPoint leadership team. He has a diverse background having split his career in various roles on the advisory side of the industry and risk taking across a range of products and sectors. His background includes reinsurance brokerage, investment banking, capital markets, private equity, and underwriting.

David has served in a variety of senior positions in the (re)insurance industry, having held roles at Third Point Reinsurance, Berkshire Hathaway, Guy Carpenter, and Goldman Sachs

Before entering the reinsurance business in 1989, David spent three years in fixed income and began his career as a commercial credit analyst.
