David King is Co-CEO at Artificial, the technology partner transforming specialty placement and underwriting in Lloyd’s and global markets. He brings over two decades of experience across technology and insurance.
Since co-founding Artificial in 2013, David has been instrumental in shaping its commercial strategy, serving as Chief Commercial Officer for a decade. He most recently helped guide the business through its $45M Series B funding round in 2026, while securing partnerships with leading global insurers and brokers including Aon, McGill and Partners, Convex, Chaucer and more.
Before founding Artificial, David was an officer in the British Army, held leadership roles in insurance services, and graduated from Nottingham Business School.
