“Andre Perez takes on the role of CEO of Nascent Group of companies, a technology-driven insurance services provider. Andre is a successful entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in the global (re)insurance industry.



He was the founder and Chairman of Horseshoe Group, the largest ILS service provider in the world, which was acquired by Gallagher/Artex Risk Solutions in 2019.



Andre is currently the Chairman of Las Olas Holdings Ltd., H2 Group Ltd. and Janousek & Stampfli Rowing Boats Ltd., investing in start- ups and entrepreneurs embracing and commercializing disruption.



Andre held executive, underwriting and actuarial roles with global enterprises such as Horseshoe Group, Alea, KPMG, Coopers & Lybrand Canada, and Zurich Insurance.



Andre was instrumental in the set up of Special Purpose Insurer regulations in Bermuda, and chaired the Bermuda Monetary Authority’s Insurance Advisory Committee for several years. He is currently a member of the London Market Group’s ILS Task Force. Andre was inducted to the Bermuda’s Risk Transfer Hall of Fame in 2019 and received Trading Risk's Outstanding Contributor of the Year award in 2021.



He holds a BSc in Mathematics from University of Montreal and is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS)”
