Steve Weinstein - Chief Executive Officer & Founder of Mangrove Property Insurance Company

With nearly two decades as a senior executive and executive committee member at a leading global reinsurance firm, Steve has built a career deeply rooted in strengthening Florida’s insurance and reinsurance landscape. His leadership experience spans board service with the Florida Chamber of Commerce, Florida Insurance Council, Associated Industries of Florida, and the R Street Institute, reflecting a consistent commitment to industry advancement and thoughtful policy engagement.

Actively involved in both global and Bermuda reinsurance markets, critical pillars of Florida’s insurance stability, Steve brings a uniquely informed perspective to market dynamics and regulatory evolution. He currently serves as Chair of Itasca Re Ltd., a Bermuda-based specialty reinsurer, and as a Director of the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS).
Steve is also the immediate past Chair of the Bermuda Business Development Agency, where they helped guide strategic initiatives supporting Bermuda’s position as a premier international financial hub.
