Chief Financial officer

Insurwave
Speaker Bio
Premal Gohil is Chief Financial Officer of Insurwave, the real-time risk intelligence platform for dynamic risk. He leads the company's financial strategy and supports its growth ambitions as the platform scales.
He joined Insurwave from Beazley, where he served as Head of Corporate Development. Previously, he was Head of Innovation Partnerships & Investments at Liberty Mutual Insurance, focused on emerging technology, underwriting and distribution, and earlier held senior roles at PwC advising (re)insurance businesses on scaling and operational performance.
At Insurwave, he has helped oversee the shift from the company's legacy platform to an AI-native architecture. His view is that AI's value in insurance is proving itself less in headline pilots than in the disciplined work of optimising engineering capabilities, accelerating platform delivery and enhancing underwriting and claims experiences for clients - a theme he expects to shape the discussion on this panel.
Premal's career spans financial services and technology, with expertise in business strategy, corporate development, capital markets and finance. He writes regularly on insurance history and the latest news affecting the industry in his weekly LinkedIn newsletter, The Exposure.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW ACA).
